Hello my sisters and brothers. My name is Mahogany LaJua Lane. I am 21 years old. I attend a HBCU. I am a secondary education major. My area is English. I attend New Life Missionary Baptist Church. My hobbies are plentiful. I love to sing, especially in church. I love to write. I write songs, poetry, short stories, novels and novelletes. I love to write so much that i joined a english honor society. Sigma Tau Delta. STD. This society has been wonderful to my writing becasue it has encouraged me to graduate from elementary writing to scholarly writing. I also love to hang out with my friends. (I dont do clubs) Right now my favorite movie is rent. It is AWESOME!!!!! I went out and purchased the C.D. and the D.V.D. I couldnt pass up a chance to let those pass through my fingers. I am glad i brought it because i love the soundtrack. At my church I have someone who has been a godsend to me. My pastors wife. I call her Phattie. She has been there for me always. I love this church because it is a place where you can actually come as you are (physically and spiritually) and be accepted and helped. Other churches want you to stop sinning before you attend their church. If someone tried that then they would never be at church. We welcome everyone knowing that everyone has had their time and may stil be having their time where growth is important. We also know that no one is ever perfect. I really love my church becasue we dont hate on anyone. We are all sinners saved by God's grace. Love yall'.

Love is the greatest medicine of all. It cures all ills becasue it is from God.

I'm searching for a solace

Eagerly awaiting my peace

anticipating my joy and my release

I'm wading in the water

torrent storms approaching

constant waves halting me into an unwanted submission

I'm opening all windows and door's

all that lead to my future

I'm leaving the past behind

no regrets on my mind

Just a willingness to give in to change

for i know that cycles begin to end and begin again

People tell me that I am a very beautiful, intelligent, humble, creative and talented person. If I gave my opinion to that statement, it would cancel out one of those characteristics. So instead I want to say thanks to those people who encourage me. I wanted this website so that i could release what is in me. I beleive that when God blesses you , you are to share your belssings. I write a lot of poetry and many of my poems will appear on this site and be protected. I write because i need to express what i feel. I don't want to keep everything inside me. I want to let it out. So, on this site you will get to know alot about me.
